What is the latest situation with having an Italian Will, is it really needed if a couple have only one child for inheritance purposes.

Hi Bobby,
If you are satisfied after a bereavement of an owner of an Itlian property that the family survivors inherit the property in shares accordingto Italian law I don't suppose you do need one.
The ownership of the property has to be regularised at some stage with the Italian authorities through a Notary which costs as lawyers and translators are required.
My wife and I had a English / Welsh Wiill with an addedum added that English law should apply to any assets regarding inheritance in Italy.
I have had to have the Will, Death Certificate translated and Notarised here in UK then I have to go to Italy to a Notary there as well to regularise the ownership in my sole name. I am in the process of doing this and I am finding it rather tortuous with lawyers not replying to queries etc. I will comment on my experiences at some stagr when it is all settled.
